From the first phone call to the last wave goodbye the whole experience was professional and exceeded our every expectation. This was our first houseboat vacation and we asked a lot of questions via phone calls and emails. All questions were answered quickly, and in detail and the staff was always professional and friendly. When we arrived the staff at... More

Fun boat trip down through Crane lake to the Grassy wall. Very beautiful but long trip from where we stayed at Randolph Bay on Namekon.

Crane Lake is one of two gateways to a chain of border lakes that includes Crane, Little Vermillion, Sand Point, Namakan, and Kabetogama. Part of Voyageurs National Park and adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA), the lake chain covers 100,000 acres of fresh water, flowing north into Rainy Lake at Kettle Falls. Four seasons of recreation with summers... More

Treasured times with our family in the beautiful Voyageur National Park! We had only a few days with our adult children this summer and they shared their all time favorite family trip was on our houseboat from Voyagaire Houseboats out of Crane Lake. We were blessed to get a reservation and really enjoyed the new lodge. Coming the night before... More

This is an amazing way to spend a week. The location - Voyageur National Park is a beautiful place. It does not shock you with awe like a single location does, it is not going to stun you like Yosemite Valley or the Grand Canyon. That does not make it less beautiful though. It is one of the most peaceful... More

Great entry point to Voyageurs National Park. Voyagaire housboats were a great way to see the park and the lodge serves a great breakfast on your way in or out of the park.

We stayed recently in the shores of Crane lake and enjoyed it a lot. Crane lake is not that easy to kayak or canoe in given all the motor traffic and speed boats that create too many waves, but it is a beautiful place. We saw a bold eagle snatch a fish from the water right by the shore.

Four couples from college decided to travel by boat to kettle falls from Crane Lake and although I have a cabin the houseboat experience provided us with great campsites and exploration each Night. We truly enjoyed the comfortable beds, ease of load and unload, the lodge and the daily cb Updated.... Trivia was a great idea. The boat ran perfect... More

Renting the canoe was a little frustrating but in the end it was worth it. Be sure your plans are concrete. We had to change our travel dates from August to September; the reservation was made the beginning of June and changed less than a week later and we lost our money and had to pay for a new reservation.... Its a nice lake but needs a boat to roam around it. There are several renting space and you can rent one to enjoy this beautiful lake properly.
