Skyland resort is the perfect place to stay while visiting Shenandoah National Park. The facilities are perfect and the atmosphere is second to none. We love it there!

We took this hike because it was the closest to us and really enjoyed the hike. Nice views for a pretty easy hike.

Sheltered tables out of sun and rain, running water in washrooms and access to the Appalachian Trail make this a nice place to stop for a picnic lunch

We were in Shenandoah the last week of July. We had the place to ourselves. Some of the National Parks are crawling with so many people you feel like you are at the mall. Beautiful views from this lovely picnic stop. Picnic tables, Restrooms, and a nice portion of the AP trail. I hiked a short distance on the trail here. As you face west, go left for the trail portion I walked. This is the pinnacles on the west side, not the overlook, which has lovely views as well.
