I will start with the main attraction, The HUGE Trees! We went here end of winter so there's still snow but with the perfect weather. Not too cold and with nice sunlight. Going here from Bay Area was a very nice driving. The view was...More

doubt this attraction is ever empty, but as we were staying in Grant Village we could go any time we liked. We tried when we arrived mid-afternoon and the car park was full so walked down from the village late afternoon and almost had it...More

We spent a day in Sequoia and even though it is stunning, Labor Day Weekend was just too crowded. We moved on to Kings Canyon and at that time of year it was much better. The weather was nice and cool and there weren't as...More

This grove of Giant Sequoia trees is slightly off the normal tourist path, but well worth the detour. The trees and the scenery are spectacular.

Loved the trees here ! Great walking path with close up views of giant Sequoias. We got here here early and were the only ones in the park. It was November, a great time to avoid the crowds!

Even from the car park there's heaps of impressive redwoods to see, then only 100m's into the paved trail there's an old fallen tree that the first pioneers used as a house, it's a good photo opp. There's a few different directions the path can...More

Apart from the loop trail to view the grant tree, there isn't much else here apart from campgrounds. The Grove itself is an easy flat trail and is quite nice.

I don't know if it is even open at that time of year. Check with local sources. Even if it is open, definitely keep an eye on the weather.

Yes, you could see the area minimally. You could see the view around you and though it's flat, getting up to the path for the Grant Groves, might be tricky.
