Great walk, very quiet, we only met another couple doing the loop. You keep discovering sequoias and we could never get enough of these majestic trees. elevation change is mild and the walk itself is very accessible.

We found the Crescent Meadow loop to be a very pleasant and peaceful experience. The paths are well marked and the forest is simply stunning. Unmissable

So normally in the beginning of January, this meadow is filled with snow. Because of the lack of snow, there was just brown grass in Crescent Meadow. I imagine it really beautiful in the spring with the flowers. We did the 1.8 mile hike around....More

There are a number of attractions to see along this loop drive. The tunnel log, the retired drive on top of a log (rotted but still there to see) and if you hike the Crescent Trail Meadows you will find the Thorp Log home. A...More

When I chose to accompany my friend on her trip to America, the main thing I wanted was to see a bear and thanks to recommendations from the staff at John Muir Lodge, I achieved that goal by heading to Crescent Meadow! Utterly incredible to...More

Crescent Meadow loop starts with the wonderful drive to it and then the easy hiking around once you reach. Most of the short trails are about 2 miles round trip and mostly flat. This is the starting point for other hikes and you can actually...More

I am sure the Crescent Meadow is beautiful when it's in bloom, but we were there in September so no colorful flowers. However, it is a nice, easy walk and you are rewarded with Tharp's Cabin, along the way. Hale Tharp lived in this fallen...More

It is a drive and you could do it in less than an hour if you keep moving. The hiking trails are at several locations off the road. Should be a good time to be there.
