Great views, petroglyphs

We did this short walk to see the petroglyphs and were not disappointed. Hard to get to on dirt desert roads, but worth the effort. Good informational signage

Several trail and hike choices presented themselves as we left the visitor center and we also wanted a great desert location to enjoy our picnic lunch al fresco. Took the loop drive which is a gravel dirt road that has three trailheads, Signal Hill is the latest one on this partial one way road. The parking is scattered around a... More

It isn't often that you can drive almost right up to an important Native American archaeological site. Past the visitors center on the west side of Tucson is an unpaved but drivable loop road with this trail. It's less than a half mile, tho there are many steps to climb up and down. My 80 yo mother did it with... More

It is a short drive from the visitor centre with a short hike to get face to face with this ancient native american graffiti.

Lots of ancient art work on the rocks. Drive one of the side roads to get there. It is a short hike to get there, with lots of steps. You must go to the top of the little hill. You need to open your eyes to see some of the art.

A lovely trail with beautiful views of the valley as well as all the cacti. It intersects with other trails and continues to meander. The trail also leads to some petroglyphs, which are very nice. Fully enjoyable all around.

This area of the Saguaro Nation Park is about a 2 hour drive from Phoenix. We could not have been happier with our decision to make the drive. The area is absolutely beautiful. The Saguaros are amazing and some of the Cacti were in bloom. It is very quite and peaceful. We packed a lunch and took advantage of the... More

No doubt, if you're visiting Signal Hill, you've visited the Saguaro National Park visitors center. If not it is a must. Typically the only way you would know about and find Signal Hill is from the visitors center. A short 1/2 mile or so down a well marked county maintained dirt road. Parking area with shaded picnic tables are available.... More

We did this short trail recently when it was about 100 out (and this was only late morning). Very cool views at the top of the petroglyphs and surrounding landscape. Lots of steps but most folks should be able to do it easily, and you can always stop to rest. It's a short trail, but in summer it's very very... More

If you like looking at and/or taking pictures of ancient rock art, this is an easy short hike off a fairly smooth dirt road to quite a few prime examples. At about 1/2 mile, it shouldn't be a problem for most folks or those with children but not so much for wheelchairs or other wheeled devices. In addition to the... More
