Superb mountain Vistas here. The best on the drive. Take the short walk to the overlook from the car pull in & take the camera/binoculars. When we were there 1 September there was little smoke but a helicopter was dropping water onto the land below.

The forest fires are extinguished and the skies are clear again (9/11/2018). Thanks to the fire fighters, loggers and volunteers that helped control the fires!

nice spot to spot and take pictures and look for wildlife; there was a very informative park ranger there when we arrived-gave us all lots of information about the area; chilly in the alpine areas!

My group happened to come across Forest Canyon Overlook by mistake. We took the wrong road to get to Bear Lake and didn't realize it until it was too late. This was our turn around point, and we are so glad that we stopped here....More

This is one of many stops along Trail Ridge Road and is pretty high up there. It is just a short walk to the edge where you see a beautiful canyon with surrounding mountains. Even in mid-September it was cold and windy there. I needed...More

Amazing point of view when you go up the mountains in the Rocky Mountain national park. The landscape from the top is outstanding, the snowy mountains, the lake at their feet. With the blu sky it was breathtaking....
