My group happened to come across Forest Canyon Overlook by mistake. We took the wrong road to get to Bear Lake and didn't realize it until it was too late. This was our turn around point, and we are so glad that we stopped here....More

This is one of many stops along Trail Ridge Road and is pretty high up there. It is just a short walk to the edge where you see a beautiful canyon with surrounding mountains. Even in mid-September it was cold and windy there. I needed...More

Loved the views at this stop in RMNP. Trees, mountains, prairie dogs. Just beautiful. A must see when in Rocky Mountain National Park!

Located on Trail Ridge Road, this look out stop provides a great view of Sundance Mountain as well as looking southwest to Terra Tomah Mountain. You can see Forest Lake at the bottom of the canyon

Definitely stop here while driving the Trail Ridge Road. The views are amazing- maybe the best alpine views, even better than at the visitor's center. Keep your eye out for marmots, and maybe big horned sheep on the slopes. Do dress warmly- the wind can...More

One of the better scenic overlooks - great views of the valley, snow on the ridge, views of the road itself.
