Great place to stop to see displays, learn about the flora and fauna of the area, get a bite to eat while looking out at the glory of the mountains--something you can't fully enjoy while driving. Hot chocolate is a winner, but plenty other things...More

Take in the views and be amazed. Explore the exhibits at the highest elevation visitor center in the National Park Service. Old Fall River Road joins Trail Ridge Road here.

As with any mountain pass, when you get to the top it all looks similar and can be quite cold and windy. This one has a bit more to offer when you can see other mountains in the distance. It is a nice stop.

Really, it's cold up at 12,000 ft 2 days after it snows. It's a smaller visitors center due to space on the mountain top. There's a trail that goes up about 300 ft to a nearby peak that is a bit challenging with the altitude...More

This was by far the best if the Parks visitors Centers. It had some nice local crafts as well as you typical souvenirs, shirts and hats. The views from this area are fantastic. If the road is open take the Old Falls Road.

This visitor center has a nice observation deck. From there we were able to view a large herd of elk on the move up the mountain.

This was our 2nd trip to the park and and this visitor center, the best in the park. If your timing is right, you will see elk near the top of the mountain along with snow. Parking is an issue at busy times, but please...More
