This hike is awesome. Maybe saw 25 hikers on this trail. It is a great leg and lung workout. The trail is nice, however, it has rock and boulders as part of it. We actually went on a Monday so to avoid the weekend rush....More

I really enjoyed this hike, nice views of Emerald Lake and Hallet Peak. The weather does get windier and colder above treeline. I encountered a fair amount of snow travel on the way, Yaktracks would make it easier. Nice 8.8 mile up and back, or...More

We hiked up Flattop Mountain to get to Hallett Peak. The elevation and steepness of the trail did cause me stop to take a few breaks along the way (although my hiking partner from Houston was fine). But I never felt like the hike wasn't...More

It is a strenuous hike for visitors (like me) but the views at the top are breathtaking! If you are up for a challenge, do it.
