The visitor's centre is located at a spectacular spot looking towards Mt Olympus and the mountain range in front, where snow remains even in summer. Check out the 20 min video about the park to learn more than meets the eye.

We stopped into the center on our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Stop in and learn more about the park. It is worth it.

I "think" it is b/c I don't remember any switchbacks. But I would call the Visitors Center to make sure.
