Mighty mountains all around. Would like to go back hiking in the Olympic NP som other time. We only visit for a short time and drove up here to get a view. The highest mountain was covered by clouds, unfortunately.

Clear road to top. Views of distant snow covered peaks. Turnouts provide additional views of Sound, Fall color and Mt Baker in distance. Not crazy about the large parking lot which was the first thing I noticed on reaching the top.

The drive up to Hurricane Ridge is one of my favorites in the state. It's not open year round; too much snow. But for the late spring to early fall months, it's gorgeous. Amazing views out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca to British...More

I "think" it is b/c I don't remember any switchbacks. But I would call the Visitors Center to make sure.
