This is truly one of Earth's best places. This place has deep soulful meaning to my wife and I. It's in the top 5 best bang for your hiking effort buck locations anywhere. I actually love the fact that it takes about 20 minutes from the parking lot to the beach. Otherwise, I think 1000's of people would be there... More

Lovely beach with sea stacks in all directions, sand rather than rocks or pebbles. Have to get past the usual band of driftwood at the top of the beach, but trees were smaller than Rialto and easy to get across. No shells

We took a day trip to La Push from Port Angeles and it was really worth the drive. The weather was 72 in Forks and in La Push, it was foggy and 59. To my surprise, Second Beach was sandy. There's a good size driftwood pile you must climb over to reach the sandy beach. Once you're on the sand,... More

This is a beautiful beach! The trail is 0.7 miles, mostly beautiful forest. There are about 150 steps built into the trail near the beach. Then you need to get over or through the large washed up tree trunks at the end of the trail. It's no biggie if you're in decent shape, but if you are tired or not... More

Did a Ranger guided tide pool tour here. Wow. Beautiful. Sea stars and other sea creatures among the rocks and sea stacks. Don't miss it.

Be sure and research the tides so you can be there at low tide. It's about a 20 min walk through the forest to the beach. At low tide you can walk out to the sea stacks. Amazing! Tide pool life clings to the rocks.

Would not have found this if not for another reviewers reference. It's a bit of a hike (tennis shoes recommended) but the beach at the end is beautiful. Water extremely cold even in August but great views and nice tide pools. My only complaint is the porta-pots were filthy and no other options nearby. So be sure to make a... More

Here's the deal with camping on La Push's Second Beach (also known simply as Second Beach, Forks in Clallam County): You park at the trailhead, which is always crowded on weekends, yet always has people leaving as well as coming. There is overflow parking, rarely needed. You don't need to get there early, just an hour before dark. There's a... More

You won't want to leave this beach. It has sand beaches that you don't usually find in Washington and the driftwood you find is pretty cool. The hike down is gorgeous and relatively easy. The only hard part is getting from the trail to the beach as a stack of driftwood is in your way. Trust me, it's worth the... More
