Great Scenic Drive

You can drive or get out and walk, either way the views are spectacular - busier in the summer so late Spring early Fall is a road less traveled and well worth the trip.

The driving loop has very many scenic outlooks and fantastic mountain, ridge, valley, and river views. Several waterfalls to be seen. Several beautiful, easy and short hikes just off the road (e.g., Path of the Patriarchs). On many days, this loop is jammed with people and cars. Go early or late in the season. October has the added advantage of... More

If you're around Mt. Rainier, this short drive is worth checking out. Paradise is a great place to visit. We didn't do much hiking due to time constraints, but definitely would if we were in the area again.

Whether talking about the drive or the hike, both Paradise Loops are tremendous. Be ready for vast temperature differences as well as precipitation of all sorts. The views are just beyond description - GET THERE!

We found parking in a lot after circling around for awhile. When we left people had parked on both sides of the street. That made some sections hard to drive through and we were in a small car. The views are amazing though, definitely worth it. I had been here before and snow was still everywhere. It was also hard... More

Make this drive. It offers some spectacular images with areas to pull off and take it in. Go in the summer on a clear day. Roll your windows down and enjoy nature!

We only went from Ashford to Paradise with which stopping took most of the day. There is a beautiful lodge at Paradise and a very large visitor center with a restaurant. Many hiking trails that go toward the top but we didn't try any of them since there was still snow on the ground. I'm sure later in the summer... More

The paradise loop is a trail that takes a tourist along a mountain ridge, surrounded by spectacular views of the valley and the volcano itself...if one can see past the cars. The sidewalk was crawling with people of all types. Humans had moved the safety rails to park on the side of the mountain, all because the parking lot and... More

Not sure why this is listed as an attraction ax it is just a road the goes through the trees past the visitor center and back k to the main road. Some pull outs but nothing really of interest to see.

You don't have to be a hiker to see some absolutely amazing views on this road trip. We saw 3 beautiful waterfalls that were very short walks from the parking areas. Plus we had a nice lunch at the National Park Inn. After lunch we were lucky enough to see a family of deer just outside the Inn. We drove... More
