Fat Man's Misery was a fun part of the Historic Cave tour. There are places where your tour group goes through in single file and must maneuver carefully some of the nearby cave formations.

It's hard work. The path is about a foot wide, with uneven flooring. You have to walk sideways to get through the serpentine pathway. Lead with your left hip, then lead with your right. It's a real feeling of accomplishment when you're through it!

Was very fun but plan on being nimble on your feet. I am a large guy but was able to get through with minimum problems.

This was part of the "Historic tour", these were fun passages in the cave. Yes, if you are well over-weight then it may be a challenge, but most people manage to squeeze and pass through these small passages in the cave. This added a sense...More

I thought Fat Man's Misery was the best section of the two-mile, two-hour-long Historic Tour. Carved from water, this section has a low ceiling and a narrow opening. It wends and winds, and you'll need to crouch, but I think it's fun. I love caves...More

It was definitely a tight squeeze through here, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I had to suck it in a bit, but there is room to maneuver for larger visitors.

Part of the Historic Tour, this was the most interesting part of the tour. The park service had just put in paved wide walkways for many sections of the 2 hour tour yet this was fun ducking and squeezing thru this section.

This historic tour didn't bother my claustrophobic husband, but he did hit his head a couple of time through the low ceiling areas. My husband and I are in our 60's. the biggest challenge of this tour was walking up the... More
