There's such a variety of things to do here. Be prepared for changing weather conditions and not a lot of food or concessions. Our conditions ranged from chilly, rainy and foggy in the morning to rather hot by the ocean in the afternoon. We looked...More

There is a lot to see in this national park, and it is well maintained, easy walks and stunning views. We headed to the Jagger museum just after sunset and were spoilt with active lava in the volcano that we could see, just stunning!

We have only one day to see the park. Would anyone suggest a preference of a helicopter or a boat for viewing the lava flow to the ocean from Kilauea?

Travellkng with a 18month old who travels well in a hiking backpack. Do you know if there are age restrictions in the national park and/or on different trails etc? I read somewhere that young children are either not permitted or it isn't safe...?
