Tremont road / gravel road is off the beaten path. The river flows beside the gravel road, and it rolls for a long distance. It is so, so beautiful. If you can walk the path at the end of the drivable gravel road, you will...More

We did this scenic drive on a Sunday morning in late April. Since we didn't have a 4WD car, we found the gravel road not so pleasant for driving. We ended up walking to Spruce Flat Falls. The scenery was very pretty, and the walk...More

So many easy access pull-offs on this road for taking your time to photograph or otherwise enjoy the scenes. Really enjoyed taking our time to try various lenses, shutter speeds and angles

I've been coming to the Smokies since I was a child and just found this road last year. We made our second visit this year and it's as lovely as I remember. Quiet, scenic, small waterfalls all along the river, many pullouts - just lovely....More

Why we had never taken this drive until now is a mystery to me. However, we have now found our favorite place in the park. Breathe taking beauty!!! Already planning our next visit.

We packed a picnic lunch and took the drive up along the stream. Most of the trip up is gravel road so it gets dusty at times. We went on a Saturday and the parking area at the end was about 1/2 full. Most people...More

This was like a well kept secret. There weren't very many people on the road or the Middle Prong Trail which is odd since its so close to Cade's Cove - its a nice "combo package". At the "Y", once you head toward Cade's Cove,...More

We found a beautiful swimming hole at a little water fall to hang out for a while. Then we went on to the roads end and took the trail along the creek. Amazing waterfalls and views. We highly recommend.

I drove my Honda Accord all the way to the end to the Middle Prong Trail. It has lots of pot holes but can be easily navigated with no problems.

So sorry, I just saw your question. It is about 2 miles, and I think you would be fine on a motorcycle.
