There are booklets for only $1 to guide you on your drive of the loop road. It was very nice to learn a bit about the area before it became a park. Each visitor center had unique exhibits to see, and it was worth stopping at all of them.

Cades Cove is a gorgeous natural setting. The visitor center and restrooms were nice. The historic buildings consisted of a main house, a mill, an outbuilding used for blacksmithing, and other buildings without any interpretation. Inside the main house there was a sign announcing the former owner and her place in history. Inside the mill was a park interpreter who... More

There are restrooms here which is reason enough to stop on your way around the loop. The parking lot can get really crowded especially after a bear jam, although there were plenty of spaces this time. The mill and historic buildings are not accessible. Ask the rangers about wildlife sightings, road conditions on Rich Mountain or Parsons Branch, or tips... More

This is a nice oasis stop while driving the Cades Cove Loop. Snacks, drinks, trinkets, restrooms. Plenty of parking.

I love visiting Cades Cove. If it wasn't for other visitors being inconsiderate, it would be enjoyable. Our last visit was downright torture. It took us 4 hours to get through because traffic was so backed up. We didn't expect it to take that long, my kids got hungry and cranky. They ended up taking a nap through most of... More

Fact: Cades Cove is beautiful and everyone should visit. The visitor center not only has all your souvenirs but also has people inside who love what they do and know the history. Don't be afraid to ask them questions about the park or anything else. We had a great time talking with them and sharing our stories.

We decided to get out of the costly tourist area and sight see and take a small hike. The welcome center was large and full of information and the staff was very friendly and helpful with information in the area. With this we had a great day with a day hike and the sights were out of this world

We have visited Cades Cove multiple times. It is usually very busy and slow moving...that gives you more reason to check out the history of the place. There are a number of original buildings that are well worth your time.
