    Towards the top....
Being early May, most of our stops around the Park were fairly laid-back and uncrowded; this one was definitely more fully attended (we can only imagine what it's like once the seasonal onslaught occurs). Of course, it's not difficult to understand this Overlook's popularity. The views are wonderful. A beautiful Lake, framed by magnificent mountains; this is what typifies this wonderous National Park. There are many great overlooks throughout the Park; experiencing this one merits being towards the top of the list.

Jenny Lake Overlook and the Loop Road
We came right up on the Overlook Turnout from Jenny Lake Road, which is a four-mile, one way road, off of Teton Park Road. We parked in a generous parking lot and walked a very short distance down to the overlook’s retaining wall for the million-dollar views, which is the best place for those views. The view is across the lake to the start off place for the Cascade Canyon hike. At the Overlook, one can find the Jenny Lake Loop Trail, and arrange for the shuttle service, which takes people across the lake to the Cascade Canyon area. Remember that Jenny Lake, and this overlook are located off Teton Park Road, which is closed from November to May, so access is only available when Teton Park Road is open. After one buys the park entrance fee, there is no admission here, unless additional purchases are made. Restrooms will be found at the Jenny Lake Visitors Center.

Great Place to Photograph the Lake
We were near Jenny lake around 1pm and the parking lot was packed. We drove around for a while and decided to move on. This stop was the next best thing. There is plenty of parking and a small trail to walk on to get close to the lake and capture some great pictures. The road is one way and easy to miss, so be on the lookout or you will pass it.

A must stop. There are several stops and pullouts in Grand Teton National Park. Jenny Lake is a must do. Even if you aren't taking the boat or hike across the lake, the views are worth the stop. Keep your eyes open for critters. Pocket Gophers are all around!

With our 1 day in the Tetons we were able to see Jenny Lake, Inspiration point, the Tetons viewing point and the little town of Jackson. We made the most of our time, yet it didn't feel like we were rushing to get everything in.

The overlook is an easily accessible spot to view the lake. Surrounded by the majestic Tetons, this glacial lake is clear and beautiful. If you don't have time to walk the trails, be sure to see the lake from here.

This is a fairly easy hike but for approximately 50-100 yards of it being rock covered. It provides great views of Jenny Lake. Thus, it is worth your time and effort. We took the Jenny Lake ferry over. This cut a lot of time off the hike. If you do this, GO EARLY!! We were at the ferry at 7:00 a.m. When we got back at about 10:30 a.m., it was an hr. plus wait to get on the ferry, the parking lots were jammed full with people lurking for parking spots like vultures and people were parking on the side of the access road and on the side of the main highway.

The lake is spectacular and the views of the Tetons from so close is something you'll carry with you forever. Definitely make sure to stop here, along with hiking around the areas in and around the lake.

This spot is just up the road from the visitor center, which makes it a little less crowded. The views are great from this spot. You can basically jump out of the car, take a few pictures and then move on to the next attraction.
