We went in the evening. The light makes the photos not as good, but the views are very nice. Saw a few elk on the route. It's an easy drive, although there are switchbacks.

An easy drive for a great view of the valley. But be aware you will be looking at the opposite side of the Grand Teton Valley, and not the mountains to the west.

The drive to the summit is worthwhile. We enjoyed the sunny morning and views into Jackson Hole. The scenery is great.

We really enjoyed the drive up & the short walk out to the viewing area. Beautiful flowers, pretty views. Quiet. :)

I don't know if the road is closed at night. The NPS website doesn't tell. I guess the best is to ask directly to the rangers through their website.
