One of the great stops along the Hermit Road that offers big views. Definitely worth a stop to soak in the scenes!

One of the awesome view points along the 'red shuttle" route. Beautiful breathtaking views of the Canyon. Well worth at least a few minutes look.

This is the first stop west of the beginning of the South Rim Drive & Bright Angel Trail that ends at Hermit's Rest. It is the only viewpoint on this drive & trail that you can walk down to a lower viewing point where you get a wide view of the canyon. And the view is spectacular!

Maricopa Point offers fantastic views of the Grand Canyon and is a great place to catch a Grand Canyon sunset on the Rim Trail.

This is a nice stop on the red route...there is a short walk to the point and a dramatic view of the canyon and the crescent formations and 'Temples'. It is worth the stop and walk.

From there you can continue on the shuttle, or walk the trail to the next lookout.

Every view along the Hermits Rest Bus Route is worthy of your time. This was the first place we got off the bus and we were stunned at the beauty of the canyon. Once you are done here, you can take the bus or walk the rim trail to the next overlook.

Beautiful observation point easily reached on the red shuttle from Grand Canyon Village. This spot doesn't seem to get as much love here as some of the other observation points but it was spectacular.

I rode the shuttle here then walked to Powell Point from where I got the shuttle back. It was refreshing to see different vantage points of the south rim but the shuttle takes so long I was unable to go farther west given time constraints so I advise you to pad your schedule if you wish to make it to Hermits Rest.

This point surprised us with its beauty. As you approach from the bus stop through the trees, the view of the canyon opens up before you. Definitely worth a trip on the red route to see this one.

Great views but make sure you walk out to the point to really wow yourself with the views. It really is something to see.
