The Visitor Center looks like it's been recently renovated with a huge parking lot and lots of paved pathways. I found it a little confusing when we first arrived because there were so many paths and we didn't know which one we needed to take. But no worries as they all seem to lead generally to the rim. There were... More

This is a visitor center like any other visitor in any national park. Great place to chat with rangers to get a list of activities going on in the park. Make sure you see the movie on the Grand Canyon - it is worth the wait and of course it is free.

This visit was during Spring Break so it was VERY crowded. The viewing area at Mather Point was beautiful. But I must say people do not respect our national parks and others wish to see them unspoiled. I hated to see trash of all kinds beyond the barrier railing, people climbing over the railing to get the best selfies with... More

The Visitor Center is excellent! The displays are so imformative and very nicley put together. We watched the movie that is played for free and it was great! It is worth the stop.

The way they split the visitor centers up was to put all the information into lots of little areas. It's nice to split up crowds but not nice to get information and shop. Each area has something different so you need to know which ones to stop at.

The South Rim VC has the largest concentration of parking, and is an access point for two of the three Rim shuttle routes. Good information and decent facilities as well.

I love National Parks and especially the ones with wonderful visitor Centers (they're all good, but some stand out). This one was very helpful, and the Rangers there were as well. The film is cool and there is a video display in it's own separate room about the canyon formation and history that's also mesmerizing.
