We did an early morning 6 mile hike starting from here. Great views winding down the mountain. Really worth making it all the way down. Get an early start and avoid crowds on way back. Rest stops along the way and a well managed trail.

Gusty winds creates fear at times. The canons are very deep and tempt you to jump over - so be careful ! The location is suitable for meditation as it provides tranquility to heart and mind.

This is easy access from the lodge with great views and great spots for camera shots. Expect it to be crowed as it is an easy hike for young and old.

The first part of the trail is not that steep. There is water and restrooms at the 1.5 mile mark. The views of the canyon walls are amazing as you descend

The trail is paved and can be rated as easy. It will take less than 30 min from the visitor center to reach the end of the trail. The views from here are quite breathtaking. It is a popular point for both sunrise and sunset....More

The view from the point is wonderful. The trail is listed as 1/4 mile, it felt longer and is narrow.

Easy half mile roundtrip walk to view the Grand Canyon from a different aspect directly across from the South Rim Village! Views are just amazing all along the paved pathway! Popular viewing area but not as crowded as the South Rim!.......A must to visit!

I remember this view as being stellar for the contrast in the rock, you can make out the different types of rocks and of course the red rock is vibrant. Take in this view if you have a chance.

The short paved trail to Bright Angel Point on the North Rim leaves from the Lodge and 1/4 mile later ends at a gorgeous viewpoint. The trail is somewhat steep at a couple of points but should be manageable by most. The best time to...More

Absolutely yes. Have done it often. Use 89 one way and 89a the other. Should allow you 3 hrs of time on the rim. Might snack at lodge at Bright Angel, get view and food to save time.
