Traveled here in July 2017. Swam in the lake after a long bicycle ride. So refreshing and beautiful. Boat rides, kayak rentals and so much more. Stay at Lake McDonald Lodge right on the lake or visit Apgar Village for snacks, shopping or food.

We decided to take the boat trip when we found one was leaving soon after our arrival. Great decision! The guide was so enthusiastic and informative the ride was both beautiful and educational. Perfect weather helped. We highly recommend it!

I recommend the boat tours on Lake McDonald especially on warm summer evenings in the golden light of the setting sun. A beautiful space with the montains surrounding the lake.

Rented a boat, just breathtaking. Best views are from the water. Water is very cold, but could not keep my 10 yo out of it. Very nice picnic spots along the lake, so bring lunch and have a lovely view while dining.

Hi there! I took these right on the beach by Apgar Village. Once you get in the park there is a large visitors center where you can get maps/talk to rangers. If you continue on you can go into Apgar Village where there is... More
