The comfortable buses are totally renovated from the 1930's, painted fire engine red, with open roofs (in good weather) for picture taking. The drivers are knowledgeable and friendly, explaining park lore as you drive around (for about 90 minutes). They make frequent stops for photo...More

As part of our large group tour of the Canadian Rockies, this was on our agenda, and I am so glad it was! So, so amazing to see this amazing spectacle of Mother Nature. I suppose much would depend on one's particular tour guide--our guide...More

As part of a Rockies ( Montana & Alberta) bus tour our group took the tour with live guides- we went in 3-4 red buses. The comfortable small buses are from the 1930's - with more recent modifications. It was fun and our guide was...More

We hardly ever take tours, but decided to do this as my husband was a little hesitant to drive the GTTSR. We found out a few days prior to the tour that the West side of the park was closed due to fires/smoke. Our tour...More

The Red Buses are a great way to spend a relaxing day seeing the awesomeness of Glacier National Park without too much exertion. The buses are a part of the history, they are older than almost everyone who rides in them! They have been around...More

Bought a 2 day ticket for £16. Buses ran very 10mins. Mainly get a pre-recorded commentary, but some are live. The tour takes about a hour. Useful for when you want to get back to your hotel.

Really enjoyed this tour. We had a great guide (Peggy) who was funny and very knowledgeable. Amazing views. We stopped several times for photos and a short hike.

Bottom Line: History. Americana. Vistas beyond compare. Book this "must do" at the front of your trip and learn what areas to re-attack later. Quick Tips: Book a tour with Douglass. He is simply amazing. Bring a jacket. It's gonna get cold. Book ahead of...More

We took the all day tour. We didn't have time for a long hike but enough time to walk around at several stops. Don't ride in the last seat, very uncomfortable.

We did 4 hour from Apgar as an overview, then revisited in our own car based on what we wanted to see. I highly recommend doing this tour on your first day. Book in advance (well in advance if traveling in busy July/ August).
