This place was a huge surprise - I never expected to see alligators just a few feet away. the variety of species is amazing and they are literally around you. Take the bus tour, as it is well worth the price and the guide is...More

This is the least populated Everglades visitor center in my experience. They do offer a two hour tram tour through the park, but if you're just passing by, the trails are great for a quick walk. When we went, the area was flooded, so some...More

Great place to visit to experience Florida's non-touristy natural wildlife. You can choose to bring your own bike, rent a bike, walk, or take a tour on a bus cam to the observation tower. It's great way to get exercise on a perfect Florida day...More

Been here several times over the years. Tons of alligators/wildlife up close and personal. Depending on time of year can be very hot and over run with mosquitoes so suggest fall or winter visit..

We didn't rent bikes or do the tram. Only walked a piece of the trail. We saw several adult Gators, came across a pretty recently hatched nest, and saw some young Gators too. Saw a snake and very large grasshoppers that I had never seen...More

This is a must see, if you are entering everglades. Alligators are everywhere, you Can´t miss them. A lot of the gators can be seen swimming or sunbathing close to the trail so beware. Also lot of cool birds around the trail

No. The alligators were very subdued and no one seemed frightened. I took the tram ride and the guide reported there had only been one incident in the history of the park where an alligator was violent with a visitor and... More
