Really, did I miss something here? We saw more wildlife along the highways driving to and from the Everglades than we saw in the park itself. Of course, loud groups of school children, of which there were many on the trail, will send most birds...More

After Hurricane Irma, this trail was about the only thing open in the national park. We road all the way out to Flamingo but other than a few egrets, we didn't see much wildlife. On Anhinga Trail we saw 1 alligator, 1 anhinga, and 1...More

After Irma the gators went away. The waterlevel is higher then normally so they go elsewhere. There are left a few but we didnt saw them.

Anhinga trail is interesting, but in mid day, October, we saw only a few animals. Two gators, some birds. It was hot. Only got a few mosquito bites, wore Deet. Parks of the park are closed but this one is fine.

The Everglades National Park was super easy to get to (from Miami Beach) and access, and it was also really simple to get to the Anhinga trail once in the park. It took around an hour to slowly walk round, whilst stopping frequently to take...More

The Alligators are basking in the sun on sunny days. Overall best time to visit is February during the dry season.
