This is actually a nice drive, and when you get to the place, you can snap a few pictures and off you go to the other attractions. There is really nothing else here. Personally not my high point but worth the drive. It's just a skip away from the Devil's Golf Course, etc.

This is a very nice drive through some canyons off of the floor of Death Valley and the Badwater Basin. You will see the bedding of the rocks that have been uplifted and sometimes tilted and contorted. There are various colors that are very striking along the drive. Well worth the detour. Fortunately, the drive was still open when we... More

Just a detour off the main route - interesting colours and formations and well worth a visit. However, the WC's were a bit challenging - be prepared to hold your breath for the duration!

grateful the park made this drive and the views possible. Be sure and check out the artist's side road - the colors are even more amazing and there is a toilet.

Drive through this 7 mile round trip road. Lots of places where you see very varied colors in the rocks which gives an impression of an artists palate. This is a one-way road and the southern point on Badwater Road is the point of entry.

Drive there is beautiful, and when you turn to that road sights around make you WOW. We did several short trials there, one of the best walks.

Very interesting features on the rocks making this look like an Artist Palete (My wife is one so I know)...Great ride up from the main road on the twisty loop, we were lats afternoon when the super moon was just rising over the hill tops, amazing scenery...worth the short trip here

It's a one way drive. Good to start with Badwater basin, Devil's Golf course and then artist's drive. The latter half of this drive was very scenic with good rock formations on both the sides (often with different colors) on a winding road. Definitely one of the best spots in DV. Pretty safe, good road and no 4WD needed.

Amazing drive which is convenient on way when driving from visiting Badwater. Amazing colors of all present minerals, beautiful natural formations. Another must see when visiting DVNP.
