Travel down the dirt road (which is well maintained) to the parking area and the Devil's Golf Course is right in front of you. It is visible from your car or you can walk out into it but beware, there are sharp edges, don't trip! Interesting formations & there are informational signs at the parking lot.

This is worth a stop, as it is close to the road. But do not drive too far out of your way to see it. All of Death Valley is a place that really should be visited.

Easy access. Right next to road. Not sure of Devil's Golf Course name but yes you could see it as you looked longer.

So you take a long unpaved bumpy road to a spot in the middle of the desert. Surrounded by a surface that looks extraterrestrial. So cool!

The chunks of crust broken salt are much bigger than you think. You can almost and sometimes step between them. Bring a cooler with lots of ice and water. We also wore head gear you soak in water and wring out. It really helped to keep us cool. The thermometer hit 120. It is easy to get overheated. Your car... More

An amazing example of the actions of water, heat and minerals. An easily accessible site off of Badwater Road to show youngsters this natural phenomena.

This is a nice side visit on the way to Bad Water. The formations would indeed make it "one hell of a golf course"!! The road to the site is very dusty, but what would you expect from a desert. There are well positioned information signs and pictures as well, that describe this formation. Another interesting area of Death Valley.

Like everything else in Death Valley, the Devil's Golf Course has an otherworldly appearance to it. From a distance, it looks like a million people had fun stomping around in a giant field of mud. However, when you actually get there, you realize that these are hard, crystalized salt formations that can seriously scrape you up if you fall on... More
