Not many people come here which is great. No big tour buses so it was not crowded. Dirt road. Shorter drive in than the other west side road. This drive gets you into the centre of the salt plains. Rocky sharp salt outcrops. Shiny salt...More

I wouldn't recommend driving miles out of your way for this, but since it is close to a number of other sites, it is worth the short detour to check it out. Requires a brief drive down a dirt road, but the salt formations are...More

Really a cool place to visit. You leave the main road to go a bit on a dirt road that is very bumpy. We feared a flat tire because of the road's condition, but made it through alright.

All of Death Valley is fascinating, but the salt formations here are so different and interesting. The road is pretty bumpy and dusty, but it's worth it to get out and see the strangely beautiful landscape.

Played golf on a unique course being below sea level. Started early but was 114 by the time we got off. The greens were a little too long and seemed to not be well groomed.

Drive a short rocky road out into the salt formations of Badwater Basin. Once you get out here, it will feel as though you are on another planet. Though it seems to be less popular that the trail at Badwater, I actually think this spot...More
