The drive to get to the old ranch is a long, bumpy, rocky (washboard) road. If you have a high clearance 2- wheel drive truck/SUV you can make it up to the last 1/4 mile where you find a steep hill - not very big...More

Life is short. There is so much to see in Death Valley. It is beautiful and other worldly. It is filled with silence and colorful rocks and it is the lowest part of the U.S. You can spend weeks in Death Valley and not see...More

Who knew that this once small ranch in the middle of no where would be the hideaway and capture location for Manson and his "Family" . So sad that this place has burned down now, used to be much more impressive. Want to come visit...More

Rent a jeep from Farabee's and you will have a blast. It's best to enter from the Ballarat side. The scenery, mountains, cabins and roads were unbelievable. It's a great adventure.

We went up to barker's ranch jan.17,2010. It was quite a ride up there. Only one kinda rough spot where 4wd helps. Someone has burned the place down but there is still plenty to see.I got a bunch of fabulous pictures. Another ranch is right...More
