I am 71, slightly disabled and use a wheeled walker but I managed to get to the top of the viewpoint on the excellent paved road, from the parking area. It was worth every tired step! the views all around are stunning. So much beauty to be seen in so much harshness!

Got there before daylight and the place was already loaded with sunrise worshipers with cameras and tripods, but they all faced away from the sunrise towards the hills immediately west?? We realized they were waiting for the sun to shine on the palates of color provided by the hills. It was pretty cool when the sun came up with all... More

It is a short walk from the parking lot up a paved path to the viewing area. The landscape here is different from anything else we saw during 5 days in the park and is very interesting to look at. It won't take a lot of time to take it all in, but it is certainly worth the stop.

We spent the morning on the valley floor, where it hit a record 103 degrees. We then drove up to Zabriskie Point where the temperature was 74 degrees. The view from the Point is breathtaking. There are a couple of nice hikes, or you can just sit beside the parking lot and look down and around.

The viewpoint is quick and easy to reach, and offers amazing views as you'd expect from the top ranking. The parking lot is big, but I'm sure it can fill up during peak season. There are facilities. I highly recommend the Badlands Loop hike from the right side of the lot. It quickly gets you away from the seething masses... More

This view point is a few miles east of the Furnace Creek Inn Hotel. Turn to the right into the parking area and walk a few hundred yard with 100 foot elevation change. The trail is paved and smooth. The view is fantastic in all directions. Evening is probably the best time to see it and to take pictures.

This point is a short drive from Furnace Creek, and is easily accessible via a paved road, parking area and walkway to the point. At sunset, you get some great shadows on the dunes to the southeast, The view is much more restricted than at Dante's View, which is a further drive but much more stunning. Zabriskie is also a... Beautiful spot to see the badlands area of Death Valley National Park. This is a quick must see spot. The badlands loop trail is a great extention at this spot if time allows (about an hour).

We stopped here on our way into Furnace Creek. Saw the short trail a told my husband to pull over. As you are driving down the highway, you have no idea what's on the other side of the hill.... AMAZING!!! Bring your camera, it's a short walk up the paved pathway to an absolutely incredible view.
