A place to warm up and sit

Rim Village is nothing special. The coffee and snacks aren't great and the gift shop is OK. But it does afford you a place out of the cold and some nice views from upstairs.

In winter, the north entrance to the park is closed and the rim roads are similarly blocked off. You'll hike through a little snow, but you have great views of the lake right outside of the Village gift shop. There is a small (but over-priced) café in the Village. Make sure to go to the second floor of the gift... More

There is parking in Rim Village. It stay open year round after the other roads are closed. It has Crater Lake history lodge. It has a visitor center and a cafe and gift shop. It is also a spectacular place to see the lake from. As yo walk along the side of the lake there are many amazing views.

This area is open year round with cafe, restrooms and a lodge. Parking is crowded, but you can find a place. It's the best place to see the beautiful views of the lake and island, especially with the North road is closed. Gift Shop had a lot of variety for adults and souvenirs. I was disappointed that it didn't have... More

Rim Village is the main developed area of the park. It has a visitor Center/Gift Shop, an overlook (for great photos of Wizard Island and the lake) and the Crater Lake Lodge. As such, this area can be crowded. There are restrooms and eateries located at Rim Village

The Rim Village has a variety of buildings. We enjoyed: * The Sinnot Memorial Overlook, which has a lot of information about the lake * Crater Lake Lodge: Interesting to walk through and to view the exhibit about it's history. It also has a deck with rocking chairs from which the lake can be viewed. * The trail along the... More

At the time of the review, there was road construction. The facility could not handle so many cars and people. I would avoid it during the weekend.
