Lots of good information - both in the theatre and by the Rangers. Good gift shop - both by the NPS and the concessionaire. Lots of parking and pet kennel service available. Exceptional NPS Ranger presence in the park - one of the best we've experienced.

800 ft below the surface of the earth, everyone should see once. They make it easy, an elevator will take you down, and if you choose, back up. You can take your camera and a small back pack with you. (also, if you have a flash light, please do not shine in other people faces) I would suggest of course... More

I suggest stopping by the visitors center. There is also a nature center trail next to the visitors center. Plants are named. Easy trail for about 1/3 mile. There are also trails to climb along the road.

Fabulous Cavern system, one of the best in the world that I have visited, if not the best. The best tours were the Big Cave, just walk slowly yourself! Or grab an audio guide, but this is a great set of sights. You will definitely need a good fast wide open lens to take this. Then the Kinds Palace, is... More

I'm glad we did not make this visit as a highlight. We visited this cavern because it was on route with our vacation plans. Although I have been here many times, (and visited there website as well) this visit was lacking in information on the work being done there, even when we paid admission fee, no one informed us that... We arrived about 10 am and there was ample parking. There were several schools there, but wasn't a problem. The Park Rangers we interacted with were all very friendly. We hiked into the natural entrance with a 3 and 6 year old, and walked EVERY trail with no problem. Bring good shoes and a light jacket, as it is about... More

Assuming you go because it's the eighth wonder of the world and you can walk a mile, then you will love this place. The park seems well run and in this Saturday morning we had no lines and the cave almost to ourselves. Rest rooms were clean and be sure to hit them before you go down. My sweatshirt was... More

Gave the visitor center a quick look see while I was at the Caverns. The center was very useful giving us information about the caverns. Nothing fantastic, but good none the less.

Just be ready to enjoy the walk! Take your time. Get there early to avoid the crowd. There is nothing more in the area to do so once you've seen the cave just move on.

A great experience! Huge and beautiful. Self guided tours, you can use the elevator to go down, or you can walk down and take the elevator up.
