There is a reason why it is called sunset point, because it does not work as well at sunrise or even mid-morning. Great overview of Fruta.

This is a very easy hike and at sunset you will be rewarded with beautiful views. You can see a large part of the park from here. Go at sunset!

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. If you come back at night the views of the stars are even better. No light pollution and endless views of night sky.

Saw this early evening. It was a short walk and gives a nice view of part of the park. Well worth the little effort involved. However, don’t stop with this. It is just a teaser for the rest of the park.

I just missed the sunset but enjoyed the view! It was a short hike to the view point, and quiet this time of year.

We only passed one other couple on this trail. Not very hard or far, but the view at the end is pretty spectacular. If you have time, do it.

If you only had 45 minutes to visit Capitol Reef National Park, this would be the place to go. A short drive to a shorter hike (not fair to call it a hike, it's a walk) pays huge scenic dividends.

This is a great easy hike. Lovely morning hike even if not for the sunset. You can see the castle from here. Views from here are stunning. Not difficult. It is the other side of gooseneck point.
