Short one mile hike …. very near Bryce … Have lunch in nearby Tropic. Waterfalls near the end of hike. Not much to see in the Mossy Cave.

Before visiting Bryce we hiked this trail. Mossy Cave is okay; the waterfall is better. I'd rank it an easy hike. It's scenic but not spectacular so only hike it if you have time; hikes within the park are much more scenic.

It was not crowded, the walk was not bad, the view is awesome! You could walk to a place above to see the view or you could also walk along the river area to see the waterfall. So glad we came here to do that!

Not the same caliber as the more popular trails inside the park entrance but still a nice short hike (.8 miles) with views of a waterfall. When you get to the fork in the trail take the path up to the waterfall. It may look...More

Stopped here on our way to the main park. Well worth the half hour diversion. The cave isn’t much but the waterfall was great. Also unique views of the area.

Beautiful trail with some nice views, which are quite similar to the Bryce Canyon National Park. Beautiful creek.

This trail is called the mossy cave trail but the highlight for me was a small waterfall. I saw pictures of icicles in the cave in winter and that looked pretty amazing. I would say a fine short trail if you have some extra time...More

Mossy Cave is not in the main park. You have to go to the east side of the park. We had a bit of rain but that didn't deter us. What a treat. It's not terribly difficult to hike.

While it is a short hike, you will see everything. Arches, Windows, Hoodoo's, waterfalls, caves, Pinnacles, etc. You can even get behind the waterfalls. Very enjoyable hike

There are no pull-through parking spots at the trailhead. It's a small lot for cars and maybe campers.

It says it runs year round. There was a drought a while back that dried it up but I would imagine there would be some moisture all the time
