This hoodoo (rock spire) is iconic. This is the one you will see on advertisements for the park. It really is a unique formation. You can climb down a steep trail to get excellent photos.

This is what you'll see on every poster, photo, calendar, and t-shirt. A colossal column of a hoodoo...amazing to see! You can see it from the lookout at Sunset Point, or you can hike down in the Navajo Trail to really get a better view.

Viewing Thor's Hammer makes one wonder how this formation was formed by the forces of nature. It's amazing that this large rock remains atop the smaller column, and appears to be so fragile.

Seen from different angles coming up the Navajo loop trail, this was a wonderful use of imagination deciding what it looks like. Everyone had different ideas, but Thor's hammer won the day.

Thor's Hoodoo, makes your mind start to race with all these questions; how long has it been there, how long can it stay like like that? This is such a magical place. See it, not just pictures of it.

One of many spectacular rock formations. Bryce is a unique place in the Southwest. It definitely should be a part of any visit to the National Parks in this part of the US.

Found on the Navajo and other trails - easily seen from sunrise and sunset. This is it in the picture the most distinctive hoodoo although they are all unique.

Bryce is hoodoos, and Thor is the hoodoo of hoodoos. You get a good view from above, better from below. Of course, then you have to climb back up. Have fun!

It is very cool to see this awesome work of nature. I think it is important to have a guide on your trip to point out these interesting rock formations because there is so much to see that some wonderful formations can be overlooked.
