Beautiful views along the various turnouts
Drive this all the way to the end to see Rainbow Point and hike the Bristle Cone Trail. Very beautiful view of Bryce Canyon. Make your way back to the entrance. Scenic turnouts will be on your right, so ease of entry and exit. Be sure to stop at the natural bridge turnout. Very nice views along this drive.

Worthwhile Drive Filled with Scenic Viewpoints
The Bryce Canyon Scenic Drive is a 19-mile drive that extends past the Bryce Canyon Ampitheater section and includes many beautiful viewpoints. The shuttles don't run along the road past Bryce Point and a car is required. While nothing compares to the stunning views found in the Bryce Canyon Ampitheater between Bryce Point and Sunrise Point, the viewpoints along the scenic drive are still quite beautiful. If time allows, it is worth including in your visit to Bryce. Each observation point offers a unique view but some of the best can be found at Rainbow Point, Yovimpa Point, Ponderosa Canyon and Natural Bridge. It is best to drive all the way to the end to Rainbow Point and then make your way back as all the viewpoints are then on the right side of the road making for easy entrance and exits from the parking lots.

We first stopped to view petroglyphs, which alone made trip worth it. We drove out in convoy to this point and one of the other drivers is incredibly knowledgeable about them. The back roads are a bit rough and some of the roads are a bit suspect, but Abby our guide and driver did a great job getting us to some incredible views. Abby was also a delight and very knowledgeable about the area, the plant life and a lot of Trivia regarding the area, see where Thelma and Louise tried to jump the cliff.

Plenty of room for people to park and admire the view which changes at each overlook. The shuttle is also available to take those who don't want to drive. It's just breathtakng.

This road, almost 18 miles in length, traverses the entire length of the park and ends at the Rainbow Point parking lot.
What we did was drive to the end and work our way back towards the entrance. This allows stopping at all the overlooks without crossing oncoming traffic.
The only area where parking was a challenge was at Bryce Point.
There are shuttle buses that run from Bryce City to Bryce Point with various stops in between. However, if you want to experience the entire drive it must be done in a vehicle.

Great way to stop and see the main views. You can drive clear to the end and then come back and stop, it seem to be the easiest so that you are not crossing traffic. Road is 18 miles.

Easy drive with many view points and easy access for great pictures. Early October was not too hot and not to cold.

Incredibly convenient. Not an intense drive in the least. Signposts are good. Most overlooks don't require much work to get the view, but you can always choose the strenuousness of your adventure. This park is wonderfully easy to visit and enjoy, and the drive is one of the reasons why!

The park has done a nice job building a trail along the rim. Be careful there are no fences. Such gorgeous views which change at different times of the day.
