Colorado has its own Canyon to rival the Grand Canyon without the commercialization. The geology is fascinating. There are lots of hiking trails. The South Rim seems to have the better views. All of the viewing platforms are easy to walk to. There are interactive...More

Great place to visit. We did not camp, just visited South Rim Visitor's Center. Beautiful views from the center, and movie was interesting and gave a good overview of how the canyon was discovered.

You can drive along and choose the rims you want to stop at. We went to the visitors center overlook and the awesome Painted Wall. 200 ft walks on well defined paths.

This winding road takes you from the visitor center to the far point. About 12 view points are along the way. ALL are worth a visit. Some are a bit of a walk. There are pit toilets at 3 or 4 locations along the way....More

I don't recall any height issues. The road gets a bit curvey and there are some good grades. Most moderate motor homes and RVs will do ok. Take your time; it is an incredible drive. Enjoy!
