The drive itself winds along the North rim of the canyon, with a number of "viewpoints" along the way. Stop at each one, as they are different, and offer a significant variation on the "oh, this is a deep gorge" theme! Take your camera, and...More

We have been wanting to get to the Black Canyon for awhile, but it is somewhat off the beaten track. We were glad to see it. It is unique, the canyon is fairly narrow and the raging river below not visible from every overlook. It...More

One of the newer National Parks, it's growing in popularity and I can see why. Very breathtaking views, A hikers paradise, Cross county ski, snowshoe in the winter, Camp in the summer and just enjoy the natural beauty of one of Colorado's best parks

For a nominal ($15) fee, see and photograph awesome rock walls and canyon views of the gunnison river over 1000 feet below. 10 observation spots let you park a 100 ft to 300yard walk from sheer cliff overlooks. A visitors center (no indoor plumbing restrooms)...More

Beauty at its best. Beautiful cliffs, great rock formations and wonderful views. Each overlook isn't far from the last and all are close to the Visit Station. Some of the walks/hikes to overlooks are 500+ yards and I recommend comfortable shoes with tread. Stop at...More

Probably not on the driving part. I would say it depends on how severe the phobia is.

At some of the larger overlooks, but it depends a great deal on how busy the park is.
