It's always fun to stop and see all the prairie dogs running around and making their little noises. This one was especially good because it was huge, they were pronghorn and buffalo around as well. Lots to watch!

We stopped in to view these litters, they were so cute, they were just running every where. They would come up pretty close to you wanting a handout.

It was the first time in my life to see prairie dogs. They were so many and stood there watching the cars passing by. When we approached them, they ran to a safe distance and continued to watch.

Buy a bag of peanuts and enjoy these adorable little guys. They are everywhere! They even pop up in the middle of the drive! Nice place to stop and smile.

Great spot to stop and take pictures of the cute critters...They are all over the place! But be careful: They dart out in the middle of the road while you are driving. Cars in front of you often make abrupt stops to avoid them. Also, while snapping photos, a rattlesnake slithered right up to us and rattled furiously! Keep an... More

These are very cute creatures ... scurrying in and out of their holes, always vigilant to what's going on around them ... take your binoculars so you can view them from the safety and comfort of your car ... they carry the plague, so you don't want to get too close!

Watch for cars that come to an abrupt stop, so that a passenger can snap a photo of these creatures. There is not a designated parking spot; therefore, you have cars on the shoulder of these narrow roads. But the Prairie Dogs are interesting and enjoyable to watch their playful behavior.

We've visited the Badlands several times but it never gets old. Driving through the park gives one a view of the most interesting rock formations anywhere. The visitor's center is a place to find a number of good books and gift items. We also got a good view of wildlife throughout the park.
