This is a lot of open space and will have number of trails for walking and exploring the badlands. Many displays provided here where the fossils were found. It is possible to spend good amount of time to explore all the different formations.

Make sure to take the "offroad" option at the end of the boardwalk, following the 12 yellow poles to the true end of the trail... the views you get will be worth it! Brings you right to the middle of a great section of the...More

The sunset. Easy walk over the broad walk and then to 12 yellow posts guiding you deeper into the park. There's a bathroom, lots of parking - kids will love it as they can climb all over the place!!! A must see stop.

This trail offers some great views. If you take the trail at the end of the overlook the marks go to number 11. Will take 30-45 minutes. Start early, gets hot quickly.

It's just a 100 meters till the door but once through it, you see a great landscape, but not the finest in the park

This whole place is so amazing! It's such a contrast from the Black Hills we had just left only an hour or two away. We didn't have a whole lot of time to spend at the Park on our road trip, so this is the...More

Could be rated a little higher than easy since you can make it as difficult as you want...at the end awesome canyon view! We went out about 11:00 a.m. on a 90 degree day, breeze helped but definitely heed the trail beginning that tells you...More
