Easy trail to follow. If you want an even easier walk stay on the walkway. But the trail does lead to some very nice views and doesn't take long to reach the end.

This is a hike/walk that you must take. The hike allows you to venture out amongst the formations and moonscape to better experience the Badlands. The hike ultimately ends quite as ways from where you started...is was wonderful and easy paced.

This short hike to the end of the boardwalk then leads to some very interesting formations that visitors are allowed to walk out on. The geological formations resemble something you might find on the moon (even though I have never been to the moon). Kids...More

Our favorite stop at Badlands allowed us to venture out onto the "moonscape" of the park. Step off the boardwalk and hike as far out as you can into another world. Very unique.

We went as our first trail. Great place to stretch your legs after a long drive. Although the views were unbeatable, a highlight was seeing a big horn sheep ram!

Felt like a prairie at one point, only with deep drop offs with peaks all around the outside. Easy walking. Not great for wheelchairs. Pretty short, flat hike.

This hike was easy to moderate and yielded some great views at the end of it. It was 106 degrees F the day we were there so take some water with you.

This is a well marked trail. We saw all age groups but does require one to have good mobility. You should bring water although some folks had none. Beautiful formations.

This relatively short trail provides a great feel for what it is like to be out in the Badlands, particularly when the boardwalk ends and you walk on the ground surface. This is relatively easy walking for the able-bodied though the uneven surface would not...More
