Easy access to view arch from short trail and can be seen close to parking lot
What a surprising stop to see a wonderful arch. We almost drove by this arch after hiking all day long but so glad we did. The short hike is .4 miles round trip and if you don't want to walk the entire way, there are many places to take a photo close to the parking lot. The blue sky was just perfect in the afternoon and this arch make us smile since it seemed to be tilted. There was sufficient parking since people seemed to come and go. The path way was fairly flat.

    A skyline view
We were headed to Devil’s Garden and made a stop here. It is a fairly quick stop even if you do the hike which is not a far or strenuous hike at all. No need to do the hike though because you can get a good view and good pictures from the pull off location.

Sunny at the skyline arch ☀️
This was our first trail we walked on and honestly our favorite spot to just relax at. We sat on the rocks back there just soaking up the sun for an hour and only three people walked back to see the arch. You can also see the back of the arch if you’re at the devils garden campgrounds

Distance view is better than close up. We enjoyed the walk and got right to the bottom, but you are still quite a way under this arch. It really wasn't worth getting that close.

Skyline Arch is towards the back of Arches National Park and just before you enter the Devil’s Garden Trailhead area. This was a fun stop where we took about 5 minutes to walk close enough to get a decent view and get right back in the car.

You can view this arch from the parking area just before you get to Devil's Garden or you can take a short hike for a closer view. It is elevated, so you cannot easily climb into it the way you can with some of the other arches.

We got a great view of this arch with just a short walk from the parking area. Great pictures and easy walking. Near the end of the park road.

Skyline Arch illustrates what I love about Arches National Park: how easily accessible most of its major attractions are. in contrast to Zion National Park for instance (think of the challenges that "Angels Landing" and "The Narrows"pose). Skyline Arch is an easy four-tenths of a mile (roundtrip) hike from its parking lot, reachable by driving nearly the full length of Scenic Drive (see my review, "Scenes in every direction").

Skyline Arch is an easy hike from the parking lot. It is well worth the walk. But wear a hat as there is very little shade.
