This is one of the most beautiful arches in the park and also one of the largest in the world. At 306 feet long and 11 feet wide at it's thinnest part, it is a wonder that it is still standing. While you cannot walk...More

Landscape Arch at 306 feet (93.3m) is the longest arch in North America and is an amazingly thin ribbon of rock gracefully spanning the gap and one of the must see arches in the park. The arch is reached by a 1.6 mile (2.6k) roundtrip...More

Of all of the arches in the park, I think this one might be one of the biggest. It is located in the Devil's Garden and requires a short hike to get there. The trail will keep you at the bottom of the arch as...More

This is another fascinating geological feature in Arches National Park. A large chunk of it fell down a few years ago, so you can no longer hike up under it. But it's not a long hike down to the vista point, and there are good...More

We were pressed for time as we wanted to visit more national parks but after looking at the map, we decided to try to get to this arch as it seemed easy. The trail was fairly easy. There were a lot of people around but...More

Landscape Arch is amazing on numerous levels - amazing that it exists at all, and that it still exists. Get out there early or late to get the best light...if that's not possible, midday still works, but the light won't be as dramatic. Awesome drive...More

I was told that this arch was likely to fall in my lifetime, so I'm glad I was able to see it. It's the first arch (if you don't side track to Tunnel Arch in the Devil's Garden loop if you go counter clockwise, the...More

It can be a very pleasant hike to Landscape Arch. The trail is easy to follow. There are some extra options for additional hiking from this trail. But the exertion level and landscape changes, if you choose to follow additional trails. Landscape Arch is a...More

When you hike to see Landscape Arch you'll also see Partition Arch. The hike to the top looks intimidating but it is fairly easy, you'll thank yourself for sticking with it once you reach the top. There's also a more scenic 7 mile hike around...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
I will be driving into Arches Nat Park probably in the morning of 1 September. We are not game for any major hike but only when necessary to visit "must see" attractions. What is the best or recommended driving route to take within the park to cover the important sites if we start early in the morning and allow 4 hours (and/or whole day) at the park?

I'd stop at Park Ave view point, then wander around Balanced Rovk and head onto Windows and Double Arch. Next down to Devil's Garden for stroll to Landscape via Tunnel and Pine Tree. Head back but detour to Delicate Arch... More
