Park Loop Road is a scenic drive through Acadia National Park. We've visited twice, both times in the summer busy season and did not experience any traffic whatsoever. For the most part, the loop is two lanes going one way. In some areas parking is...More

Great way to spend the day and see the sights! Lots of places to pull over and explore! Must sees...Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliff, Jordan Pond, and Cadillac Mountain. We went to Cadillac Mountain and watched the sunset...absolutely beautiful but very windy! My husband...More

I have been here in the fall when leaves are changing, which is very beautiful, but this time everything is green and still beautiful. There weren't many animals (mainly birds and some frogs and eels in the stream). It's a nice, peaceful drive with some...More

So many things to see and do along the Park Loop Road. At times it is a one way road and cars are allowed to park in the right lane so be aware. It is a beautiful 27 mile ride!

Park Loop Road took us to most of the highlights in Acadia that we wanted to see. It took us to Thunder Hole and Cadillac Mountain!

We did this our first day and so glad we did. It really helped acquaint us with the park. And it just happened to be our only day with no clouds so we could see it all.

We used island express taking park loop road to hike different trails without having to worry about parking or only taking loop trails. The views from the park loop are spectacular. Great park

There is sufficient space between the road and the edge as well as a guardrail, way less chance of going over than the PCH! I know what she means there! Have a great trip! Bar Harbor is one of my fav places!
