Easy access directly off the main road, plenty of parking, secure and safe stroll to the cafe. Historic decor and the chance to look around the exhibits before or after tea, coffee or lunch. Very reasonable price, all home produced products.

Dalgarven Mill is a family run tearoom on a farm and one can view antiques across the road on the same property. The service is warm and welcoming and the cakes and sandwiches are home made and delicious. On sunny days this is a must visit - sit outside and absorb the sun and enjoy the delicious food and soup.

Very often stop here whilst walking the dog. The home baking is fantastic and the staff are very helpful. Always pleasant. Haven't visited the museum in a long time, but it's worth a visit.

We had a couple of hours to kill and found this place by accident. The museum itself was tremendous. Lots of stuff with antique clothing and quilting and lots of stuff about old styles of farming and also old ways of living with some displays of old kitchens etc etc. It was all very interesting and then there was the... Much more to see than we initially expected from costumes to farm equipment to room sets.Museum covers three floors and could be difficult to access for some people. Also it was pretty cold so wrap up well. The cosy tearoom was very welcome at the end. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. We also enjoyed a walk along the river... More

We have been there in a sunny October day and it was simply amazing. Easy to find driving on the 737, or by bus, there's a bus stop just a few metres from the mill. Interesting place, the wheel working pushed by the driver's water. There's a nice museum just besides the wheel, same building and for 4,50 £ you... More

Great little find and so well worth the visit - open all year and just as appealing in winter, I think,as it would be in summer. We enjoyed a delicious home made lunch at the mill, followed by a visit to the attached museum which was a beautiful restoration. It is definitely an attraction which we will visit again and... We live only about 5 miles away, and for some reason had never visited, until my sister did and was very impressed. So we went along and loved the displays of antique clothes and the other exhibitions. We had been to the lovely Saks & Hart shop in same complex, but missed the museum. The owner is very helpful and... More

Erected in 1614 as a Corn Mill and rebuilt in 1880 after being damaged by fire. When I was 12yrs. I worked at a farm after school and holidays a mile away from the mill I would take the horse and cart to pick food for the farm animals. 1970's they made into Museum with lunch kitchen. They made it... More
