Durdle Door has to be my most treasured location on the South Coast of England. You can walk to Durdle Door either by walking up the steep cliff path, over the chalk cliffs, from Lulworth village or by driving to the Durdle Door caravan site and walking from there. I usually include Durdle Door on a hike by parking at... More

We saw a window in the winter weather, clear frosty morning and sunny all day so we took the chance and traveled from Cornwall to be there for the sunrise. Spent the whole day on the beach and got some fantastic photo's. It was so warm some people were sun bathing, last day of November! If your a photographer it's... More

By far my favourite place in England is Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. It is perfect, being a geologist it is also very interesting, especially with the little infographics dotted around the site. It's just all so beautiful, quaint and idyllic. You definitely need to visit the area. The sea is so so blue as well!

Have visited the cove each time I come to the UK and never tire of the beautiful views. It never seems over crowded which provides a lovely sense of peacefulness and calm. Lovely walks to be done and a couple of nice places to grab a bite to eat.

Great views for Durdle Door. Make sure you wear walking shoes for the walks. We visited in late November and the weather was cold but dry. Perfect for walking

This is a really must if your visiting the area. I went with my youngish family and elderly(ish) parents. We all loved the fact that you could drive quite close to the Durdle Door (helpful for my mum who has difficulty walking without a stick) and then walk a part of the coastal path. Have a little common sense though... More

The beaches of Lulworth Cove and Durdle door are perfect for a beachside walk throughout the year, although you may need appropriate footwear in the autumn and winter months. Due to the rain the stairs down to the beach are quite wet and muddy, which also causes them to be very slippery. The sea is surprisingly clear and blue, but... More

We drove down to this place from London. Its a great day trip option. Fabulous views from the top (car park), vast view of the waters. Its blue blue and totally blue till your eyes can stretch and see. Absolutely scenic place. You can hike down and get to the beach from the car park. Not much of a hike... More

We stayed in a cottage in Lulworth Cove in November and were blessed with spring like weather all week. This truly is a stunning piece of coastline with coast and country walks to die for. Don't be fooled that there's no big hills - a walk along the coastal path will give you plenty of ascents and descents atop the... More
