This time, we visited the "Sengoku Hoki no Kami Residence Site" (currently the Japan Fire Department Hall) on January 4, 2024. The new "Japan Fire Department Hall" will be reborn as a high-rise building with 14 floors above ground and 2 floors below ground, a height of 69.38m, and a total floor area of 16,208㎡. The construction plan stated that it was scheduled to be completed at the end of May 2024 (Reiwa 6).

12月14日に訪ねて見た（本当は旧暦なんだろうからあまり意味は無いけど）ビルの内側に噴水とプレートが井戸をイメージさせる物らしいがそんな雰囲気はみじんも無い。ワザワザここだけを目的に訪ねる価値は無い

元禄15年（1702年）に起きた赤穂浪士におる吉良邸討ち入り後、義士のうち2名（吉田忠左衛門と富森助右衛門）がこの地にあった大目付仙石伯耆守の屋敷に自首しております。その際に屋敷内の井戸の水で足を洗った後に屋敷に上がったとの事です。1月の寒い時期、井戸の水はとても冷たかったでしょうね。

二人の赤穂浪士が討ち入り後、大目付に自首。ココが屋敷のあったところです。今は往時の面影はまったくありません。想像を働かせてください。ただ浪士たちが足を洗ったというモニュメントがありました。これも妄想を働かせてください。赤穂事件は、いろいろな物語が付いてまわっています。単純な事件なのですが、実に奥が深いですね。

「仙石伯耆守邸跡」をご存じでしょうか？東京メトロ銀座線・虎ノ門A2出口を出て徒歩400㍍ほどの日本消防会館の跡地です。
案内板によると吉良邸への討ち入りを終えた赤穂浪士はの一行が泉岳寺へ向かう途中、統領大石良雄は副統領格の吉田忠左衛門と富森助右衛門の両名を大目付仙石伯耆守邸に自首させた背景がよく分かりました。モニュメントも一緒に飾られているので訪問した甲斐がありました。

何かの碑があるのかなと思って、建物の周りを2周してしまいました。赤穂事件の時に、大石らがここに来たのですね。義士洗足の井戸のモニュメントがありました。

日本消防会館の入り口そばにある「義士洗足の井戸」のプレート。仙石伯耆守邸のことが書かれています。
ここは、赤穂浪士のうちの２名が自首した仙石伯耆守の屋敷跡なのだそう。横に噴水のモニュメントがあって、それも目印です。

オフィスの近くなので、ランチの時に寄って見た。ニッショー会館の一階にあった。赤穂浪士が足を洗った井戸も西洋風の噴水、水場だった。残念です。

ホテルオークラの近くにある、日本消防会館の前に噴水？のようなモニュメントがありますが、ここが仙石伯耆守邸跡になります。赤穂浪士の吉良邸討ち入りの際に、討ち入りを果たした赤穂浪士のうち2名がここ仙石邸に自首をし、その時に足を洗った井戸の跡だそうです。
