Neighbourhood: Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

This is a small shrine near Shimbashi Station. It's funny to see a shrine nesting among tons of izakayas and bars. If you're in the area check it out.

Shrines are a very important part of Japanese Culture. They often recognize the oddities and imperfections of the people and events they honor. Don't miss this one if you are in the area.

In Shimbashi we were walking around and discovered this small shrine off the tourist path. Seems to be for locals who stop by as they are walking through the area. It was a nice little discovery.

Is a means of worship for the people of Japan. Shrine is located in the vicinity of settlements, and business areas such as shopping and food. Temple is widely used as a place to pray for those workers and businesses, with the hope to ease and luck of what they do.

I went to Karasumori Shrine near Shinbashi Station. It is famous nationwide as the first summer festival, the Karasumori Festival. It is also famous as a power spot. I would like to come here during the festival.
