Neighbourhood: Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

    Beautiful
Beautiful art display. Fun to walk through and see all the decorated tanks. We went in a Saturday so it was pretty crowded. A little tricky to get to the enterance and buy tickets the the personnel on the mall were very helpful in directing us to the right floors.

One of the best events in Tokyo
The exhibition was impressive. Very creative demonstration of water, and light. We visited with our 11 year old son, and he loved the different sections too. It is in the city center (Ginza), you can plan it before or after shopping.

    Fish and lights
I'd been to the Art Aquarium before, but I seem to remember it was in a different location in Ginza. Anyway, on the day we visited, it was pretty quiet, so we were able to walk in (we booked online on arrival to get a discount). It was Christmas themed since it was late November when we visited and all very pretty. It's definitely worth a visit, in my opinion.

    Cool to see
I saw a few YouTube videos of this place, and we just finished visiting the Uniqlo Flagship store, so we decided to go since it was close by. It wasn’t easy to find within the building but there’s enough signage to find your way there eventually. The exhibits are very cool. Some much more than others. I preferred the smaller ones where I could focus and on the fish compared to the larger more elaborate displays. I do have to say that as artistic as it was, it’s one of those things that actually look better in photos and videos than in real life because of the colour vibrancy of photos and video. Overall. I thought it was good but a bit expensive.

    Good for Children
We only went as it was a rainy day it was not really on our must do list. For the price of $16(Au) it really was not great value, sure children would get more out of it than adults. Basically it is lots of unusual shaped tanks with many of the same types of goldfish, with different lights. Very reminiscent of the jellyfish display at Hong Kong''s Ocean Park.

Interesting art exhibit in central Tokyo
The art aquarium was pretty cool to see. But there was a lot of people there and it was hard to take good photos with so many people. Take the lift up to the 9th floor and then catch the escalator down to the 8th floor. Only requires 30min inside.

    So unique!
I'm so happy I stumbled across this little gem! It's a unique, creative combination of an art gallery and an aquarium that results in a stunning tribute to the goldfish and the role it plays in Japanese aesthetic tradition. As an aquarium hobbyist I can say with some authority that all of the fish were in excellent health and probably better cared for than most goldfish you will find in private homes. Go inside the mall and make your way to the 9th floor to find this hidden treasure

The goldfish are the very common type and the display area is not large. Plants are artificial and therefore tacky.

Save your money and visit TeamLab instead.

We have never seen anything like this before and really enjoyed it. Plenty of pictures being taken but it was nice to walk around and just enjoy the fish.
Great spot for families
