Memorable, entertaining authentic cultural experience for a cheap price. Great dancing, amazing costumes, good music as well. Truly a good experience. They also had programs in english which gives the basic storyline of the show, although the dialogue and singing, and intermission, are totally in...More

This show takes place once a week on Wednesday. It is easily accessible and an English synopsis is provided. The dancers music and costumes are delightful . Locals young and old make up the vast majority of the audience.

Great show to see if you want a taste of Kagura. At about 45 minutes, the length was perfect to get an introduction and fit into a busy day.

Although it was in Japanese, they had flyers explaining the stories in English. I really enjoyed the dancing and music. It's a must go if you're looking for more traditional entertainment.

Even though it was not a high level, professional production play, it seemed like a lot of heart was put into performances and some actors were really talented. I watch a lot of traditional opera/dance/theater when I travel, this one was one of the best!...More

I wouldn't normally go for amateur folk theatre staged purely for tourists but - as usual - the Japanese enthusiasm and generosity carries you over the cultural barriers and it was actually really good fun and quite stirring in places. If you want good photos...More
