It might be a short street, but this is the place to go to for souvenirs whether you're looking for specialty stores or less expensive but great buys. Very much worth the trip!

There were quite many snack stalls selling famous local dessert hot sweet dumpling, also there were many shops in different variety, coffee house, steak house, shoe shops, ...lined up in 400 meters covered arcade next to the famous Kushida Shrine.

This covered shopping street is quite down-market compared to the covered streets in Osaka and Hiroshima. It gives the impression of not being very prosperous, a little run-down. I suspect it was one of the original shopping areas in Fukuoka before Tenjin shopping was developed....More
