Attended a conference here and stayed at the prince hotel next door. Large, and split into 2 major buildings. Also just next to train station, so you don't have to stay at prince if you don't want to

Featuring an excellent bento lunch and a delightful stroll garden, this is an first class conference venue, with acoustics and audio visuals to match.

Indeed the venue is very beautiful, with a large vapacity for events, but there are no options to eat or drink in or around the place! There is one restaurant in the main hall, another one in the hotel, with a bar. The quality of...More

Striking modern buildings. There appear to be no vertical walls - all are curved or angled. Each hall is different and interesting. Beautiful views onto a large park with a lake. If you're interested in architecture, this is well worth a visit.

You have to give this place full marks for it's setting, surrounded with lakes and hills… And was that an eagle circling? Certainly some bird of prey… There are warning signs! :-) The conference centre itself is massive and a bit confusing, and difficult to...More

This conference center can do a great job of catering, depending on your organization's price point. I attended a 3-day event for which noon seminars were catered with お弁当 lunch boxes. Superb! But lunches and seating were limited, so some attendees had to fend for...More

We attended a conference in KICC and it was well organized. There are very many rooms and halls that can accommodate large events. The garden around the KICC, with the Japanese trees and Lake, is marvelous and excellent for a relaxing walk or exercise. For...More

Hot springs and historic temples characterize the
leafy landscapes of Northern Kyoto. Acres of tranquil
residential streets are interrupted by some of Kyoto's
most gorgeous architectural gems, including the
majestic Golden Pavilion of Kinkakuji, the serene
artistry of the Ryoanji Temple rock gardens, and the
bold red paint across the structures of Enryakuji
Temple. Once a religious core of the city, the

There is a train station a block away, and it is very easy to travel downtown by train. They can also arrange tours for you - Kyoto has some beautiful temples, and lovely gardens. I totally recommend the "Golden Pavilion."
