I got a broken cervical vertebrae after falling into the 15 meters waterfall in Aling Aling, in spite of having paid for the guide. Do not jump this one!! It is very dangerous.

A fantastic day out. Only costs 125k IDR per person (£6.50) for entry and a guide and is more than worth it. This involves a short walk to the Kroya waterfalls where you are able to go down the natural water slide and there are three jumps (5m, 10m and 15m). Then you take the short walk to the Aling Aling waterfall. Note that you cannot swim in the Aling Aling waterfall but it is amazing to see. Our guide Kadak was fantastic and even jumped in with me when I was too scared to jump. 100% recommend

My guide was very friendly. Aling aling itself is breathtaking. The jumps were too high for me but I imagine would be much fun for many.

The Blue Lagoob, Aling Aling waterfall and 3 others are all nearby.
Firstly, it's 50,000rp just to get to Blue Lagoon, if you want to swim there its another 250,000rp.
To get to the water at Blue Lagoon you have to climb over large rocks. The color of the water was nothing like the promo pics. The 250 000rp also gets you to Aling Aling or any other waterfalls in the vicinity, but it's 250 000rp, even if you don't want to swim or do any of the activities. Apparently, you need a guide even if you are just taking photos
The path and stairs are in bad condition, steep with no hand rails.
We are seasoned travellers throughout Asia, but the toilets there are up there with the worst.
Makes you wonder where the money goes.
Blatant rip off.

We did the medium path and it was great… a mild walk followed by several dives in the blue lagoon and different jumps and natural slides. Recomended!

Yes, the waterfalls, trekking and the whole area is stunning and lots of fun. But beware when jumping the 16m. I'm a cliff jumper and back flipper from way back. I jumped and landed perfect pin drop (recorded by my bf) but ended up crushing my T8 vertebrae. 5 mins later, another girl jumped and broke her rib. We were in the hospital together. We were also told that another guy had been taken to hospital earlier that day. It's a very high jump, with no flowing water to break the water where you land. The ticket price includes medical insurance up to $500aud... Which covered the hospital bill... 1 year on, I still have chronic back pain and still healing. Enjoy Bali x

This is heaven on earth, do not miss it! We had an amazing guide and I jumped off every waterfall- 5m, 10m, 15m! Even if you don't jump the beauty is not to be missed!

If you like waterfalls, it's definitely worth a visit. It's annoying that they make you go with a guide. I wish I would've insisted a little more that I didn't need one even if I paid the price including a guide to see if they would've let me go without one (this was allowed at Sekumpul waterfall which I visited a few days after aling aling).

PLEASE NOTE that if you or someone you are with doesnt want to go in the water at all, there is an option to ONLY PAY THE ENTRANCE FEE of 20k. During our visit, this option WAS NOT advertised anywhere (see price list picture attached). We only learned of this option through our private driver and confirmed it with the guide we got stuck with at the falls. My husband had already paid the same 125,000 as me at the entrance although we told them at the entrance ticket booth that he doesnt swim, so after speaking with our guide while at the falls, he told us he'd help us get a refund due to the misunderstanding (since the guide saw my husband wasnt slightly interested in the falls - he was just there because I dragged him along). At the end once we got back, the guide tried to help us get 105,000 IDR back but what ensued was tons of bickering with the ticket booth people. We tried to explain that it is deceiving that paying the entrance fee only option is not advertised and that we had even told them he doesnt swim and didnt want to do the water slides or jump off the cliffs, and after tons of back and forth, they finally did the right thing and returned the 105,000 IDR. Buyer beware!

Beautiful waterfalls. Highly recommend my driver-guide Pak Hari, +62 852-3143-1638 (whatsapp). Flexible, funny, knowledgeable and a safe driver. It rained that day, so the water turned brown, but it was still a good visit! He brought us to a local nasi padang place, great food at affordable prices. The hot springs were a real local treat!
