Peregian Beach, unlike its neighbour Coolum Beach, is not generally regarded as a swimming beach. In fact it is known for unpredictable and changeable surf. There have been fatalities of capable swimmers at Peregian Beach due to swimming when no life saving monitoring was in...More

We had driven through Peregian before but hadn’t stopped so decided to take a drive from Noosa & have a look. Lovely long beach, lots of cafes & restaurants & nice shops. In particular Men’s Clothing where the man who served us was excellent, very...More

We just popped down for a minute after lunch at Pizzami but thought the beach was quite pretty. Brisk onshore breeze kept things cool. Lifeguards warned the newbies of the areas with fierce riptides.

A wide attractive and visitor friendly beach, attracting thousands of visitors and surfers. Areas where dogs are excluded and others where it is dog friendly.

But on a very hot day there is no shade at all so beware. Lifeguards were rightly concerned because of the rips and tides and wind creating magnificent waves but only for the strongest. By comparison the more sheltered Noos side has tress, shade and...More

This is a beautiful untouched beach but certainly has many dangerous rips and currents. Stay in the flags if swimming. Remember just because sections look safer with less waves, this is often the danger point with strong rips. Great spot to spend the day.

Beautiful expanse of white sandy beach, uncrowded and unpolluted....and a life guard on duty. Fresh water showers and change rooms nearby! Easy access from parking.

Just a shame there wasn't any parking available. Ended up driving for half an hour finding a beach where we could park and get toddlers to the sand.

Park, playground and facilities located at the patrolled beach are fantastic, with a viewing platform for those that don’t want to touch the sand... Just another piece of paradise in South East Queensland :)

Daily average maximum is 24 degrees, and overnight minimum is 13 degrees. Sea temperatures are typically 20-23 degrees, so swimmable all year round.
